Exploration Licence Award and Acreage Extension
LANSDOWNE OIL & GAS
Lansdowne Oil & Gas plc, an English public limited company, was admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange on 21 April 2006. The Company and its subsidiaries form an energy group operating in Ireland, focused on frontier exploration for commercial oil and gas reserves. The Group holds one Frontier Exploration Licence in the Donegal Basin and four Celtic Sea Licensing Options covering Midleton, Rosscarbery, East Kinsale and Seven Heads Oil, covering a total of more than half a million acres in offshore Ireland.
The
Irish offshore shelf areas have been targeted by the Group for
exploration, as these provide shallow water (generally less than 100
metres), relatively low cost opportunities and good fiscal terms,
potentially resulting in high value reserves..
